Who we re looking for:

We are seeking a Cyber Defense Analyst (TS/SCI Clearance) to analyze cyber events and support threat mitigation across enterprise environments. This role leverages data from cyber defense tools to assess security events and guide response activities. The Cyber Defense Analyst operates as an individual contributor within a functional cyber operations team, collaborating with team members and supporting project execution in alignment with client objectives. This is a unique opportunity to shape the growth, development and culture of an exciting and fast-growing company in the cybersecurity market.

What you ll be doing:

  • Analyze data collected from cyber defense tools, including intrusion detection system (IDS) alerts, firewalls and network traffic logs to identify and mitigate threats
  • Support cyber defense tasks and technology assignments in alignment with project objectives.
  • Establish goals and plans that align with project objectives.
  • Interface with senior management and support client interactions, including negotiations.
  • Apply cyber defense knowledge to support decision-making related to project implementation.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with a functional team lead and team members to support mission objectives and execution.

What you need to know:

  • Microsoft environments such as Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel and SharePoint.
  • Security information and event management (SIEM) tools such as Splunk.
  • Network intrusion detection and prevention (NID/NIP) technologies.
  • Endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools such as Trellix and endpoint security concepts.
  • Intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS) such as tools such as CoreLight.
  • Application programming interface (API) development and scanning tools such as Tenable.

Must have s:

  • Bachelor s degree from an accredited university.
  • 7+ years of experience performing the functions described above.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into clear, actionable tasks and processes through critical thinking.
  • Applicants must hold and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance.
