Senior Devops Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior/VP DevOps Platform Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Cloud Infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevSecOps, Infrastructure Automation, Secrets Management, Service Mesh, Networking, and Platform Engineering.

The ideal candidate must have experience designing, building, implementing, automating, and troubleshooting enterprise DevOps platforms. This position requires strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to explain and implement solutions—not simply monitor existing applications, schedulers, or pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain highly available DevOps and Cloud Platform infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain enterprise CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools.
• Implement DevSecOps controls, including SAST, SCA/dependency scanning, container image scanning, secrets scanning, and compliance gates.
• Build and manage Kubernetes/container platforms, including deployments, services, ingress, namespaces, RBAC, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Implement and support Istio/Service Mesh, including sidecars, traffic routing, mTLS, ingress/egress, and service-to-service authentication.
• Design and implement HashiCorp Vault solutions for enterprise secrets management.
• Implement secret rotation, renewal, revocation, authentication methods, policies, and dynamic secrets.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Design and troubleshoot NGINX/reverse proxy/load-balancing solutions, SSL termination, routing, and traffic management.
• Develop automation using Python, Shell/Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across Kubernetes, containers, cloud infrastructure, networking, CI/CD, security, and applications.
• Establish monitoring and observability using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK, or equivalent.
• Participate in production incident management, root-cause analysis, performance optimization, and permanent remediation.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate hands-on knowledge of:

• Designing Vault secret management and rotation
• Implementing secure GitHub CI/CD pipelines
• Integrating SAST, SCA and container security scans
• Designing Kubernetes networking and service communication
• Implementing Istio, mTLS and service-to-service authentication
• Configuring NGINX load balancing and traffic routing
• Building automated infrastructure using Terraform
• Troubleshooting real-world Kubernetes, Cloud, CI/CD and networking issues

Candidate Profile – Critical

We are looking for a true DevOps/Platform Engineer who has BUILT and IMPLEMENTED solutions.

Do NOT submit candidates whose experience is primarily:

• Application/Production Support
• Airflow scheduler monitoring
• Job scheduling / batch monitoring
• Incident/ticket management
• Monitoring existing CI/CD pipelines without pipeline development experience
• Theoretical Kubernetes/Vault/Istio knowledge
• Operations-only experience with limited automation

Interview Focus: The candidate will undergo a deep hands-on technical evaluation covering Kubernetes, CI/CD, Vault, Istio, DevSecOps, NGINX/networking, Terraform, cloud infrastructure, automation, and troubleshooting.
