Junior DevOps Developer / Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Junior DevOps Developer/Engineer in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned AWS, EKS, Kubernetes, configuration, deployment, and platform-infrastructure activities under technical guidance
• Support routine Technology Lifecycle Management and day-to-day operational activities
• Assist with monitoring, logging, alerting, troubleshooting, and remediation of identified issues
• Develop and maintain automation scripts, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and platform integrations using Python, Java, and/or Go
• Support application onboarding and migration activities, including configuration, validation, and documentation
• Follow approved operational, security, access, and infrastructure standards
• Create and update runbooks, operational playbooks, and technical procedures
• Participate in the defined rotation or shift-based coverage model

REQUIREMENTS:

• Foundational experience with AWS, Kubernetes, containerization, and DevOps practices
• Working knowledge of at least one of Python, Java, or Go
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, monitoring, logging, and alerting
• Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills
• Ability to follow established technical procedures and escalate complex issues appropriately
• Interest in developing deeper cloud, platform, and operational expertise

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
