Job Description

We are seeking a Core Java Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Core Java, big data processing, and distributed computing within financial services and a proven ability to design and optimize scalable data pipelines for credit risk analytics and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines for large-scale financial data using Core Java.
• Lead batch pipeline initiatives for credit risk analytics, including stress loss (GSST, CCAR) and expected credit loss (CECL, IFRS9, ICAAP).
• Ensure efficient storage and retrieval of risk data across big data platforms such as Hadoop, Hive, Impala, and Spark.
• Implement Spark performance best practices, including partitioning, caching, and memory management.
• Maintain code quality with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines (Tekton, Harness), and GitHub version control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a TechFin environment to deliver reliable solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 7+ years of software development experience with Core Java and Java 8 concepts, including OOP, OOD, Collections, Exception Handling, JDBC, Multithreading, Streams, Lambda Expressions, and Functional Interfaces.
• 5+ years with SQL/NoSQL databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Couchbase, or Neo4j.
• 3+ years leading end-to-end software projects with multiple team members.
• Experience in financial markets and credit risk systems, including scenario analysis and stress testing.
• Hands-on with GitHub, Tekton, Harness, and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced TechFin environment with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Exposure to agentic AI tools such as Devin, Claude, or Copilot.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Spark, Hadoop ecosystem tools, and performance tuning at scale.
• Background with regulatory reporting frameworks for credit risk.
