Systems Administrator - Infrastructure & Manufacturing Systems

Hoerbiger is seeking a Systems Administrator to support our manufacturing IT environment. You will manage Windows and Linux servers, virtualization, storage, and network services that power advanced compression, drive, and mechatronic solutions. Responsibilities include monitoring system performance, troubleshooting incidents, managing backups and disaster recovery, enforcing cybersecurity standards, and supporting plant-floor and engineering applications. Collaborate with global IT and cross-functional engineering teams to implement upgrades, automate routine tasks, and ensure high availability, reliability, and security for mission critical manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers, storage, and core IT services
• Support and optimize virtualization platforms for manufacturing and engineering workloads
• Monitor system health and performance, resolving incidents and problems promptly
• Implement and manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures
• Harden systems and enforce cybersecurity standards and patching
• Support plant-floor, MES, and engineering applications and integrations
• Collaborate with global IT and engineering teams on upgrades and new solutions
• Document configurations, procedures, and change records
• Automate routine administration tasks using scripting
• Provide on-call support for critical production systems as needed
