Senior Project Manager – ERP & Business Process Improvement
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead several high-visibility, cross-functional business process improvement initiatives within a large Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) organization.
The projects will be centered around the organization's Deltek Vantagepoint ERP platform, but the scope and impact will extend well beyond the ERP itself. Initiatives will involve business processes, systems, integrations, and stakeholders across areas including Finance, Human Resources, project delivery, and other enterprise business applications.
This individual will need to be a highly experienced, self-sufficient Project Manager who can bring structure to complex initiatives and successfully lead projects in an environment where formal project governance and PMO processes are still evolving.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple complex, cross-functional business process improvement and technology initiatives.
  • Manage projects originating within the Deltek Vantagepoint ERP ecosystem that have broader enterprise-wide impacts.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Human Resources, project delivery, IT, and other business functions.
  • Coordinate dependencies and integration points between Vantagepoint and other enterprise applications.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, resource requirements, dependencies, and delivery strategies.
  • Drive projects from initiation and planning through execution, implementation, and stabilization.
  • Facilitate requirements discussions and help business and technology teams translate business needs into actionable project plans.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and competing priorities.
  • Establish appropriate project structure, documentation, communication, and governance where formal processes may not yet exist.
  • Facilitate executive and stakeholder communication regarding project status, risks, decisions, and upcoming milestones.
  • Drive accountability across cross-functional teams and ensure initiatives continue moving forward.
  • Support organizational change and business process improvements associated with new or modified systems and workflows.
  • Manage several concurrent initiatives with company-wide visibility and impact.
Required Qualifications
  • Senior-level project management experience leading complex enterprise technology and business process initiatives.
  • Professional experience within the Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional projects involving multiple business areas and technology platforms.
  • Experience leading ERP-related implementations, enhancements, integrations, or business process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of how ERP initiatives impact Finance, HR, operations, project delivery, and other enterprise functions.
  • Proven ability to work independently and bring structure to ambiguous or evolving environments.
  • Experience operating successfully in organizations without a fully mature PMO, standardized project methodology, or established governance structure.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across technical teams, business leaders, and executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, organization, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, dependencies, risks, and multiple concurrent workstreams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint or another ERP platform commonly used within the AEC industry.
  • Experience leading Vantagepoint upgrades, integrations, process improvements, or optimization initiatives.
  • Knowledge of AEC business processes including project accounting, project delivery, resource management, financial management, and workforce processes.
  • Experience establishing project governance, processes, and best practices in a growing or evolving PM environment.
  • PMP, PgMP, or similar project management certification.
