District Office Intern

Department: District Office
Reports To: Assigned District Administrator
Position Type: Internship

Position Summary

The District Office Intern provides support to district-level departments while gaining practical, hands-on experience in the operations of a public school district. This internship is intended for currently enrolled college students interested in developing professional skills and gaining experience in an administrative setting.

Assignments may vary based on district needs, current projects, and the intern's skills, interests, and area of study.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with general district office projects and administrative tasks.

  • Provide support to assigned departments and district staff.

  • Assist with organizing and maintaining records, documents, and information.

  • Support the preparation of materials, communications, reports, and presentations.

  • Assist with data entry, research, and information gathering.

  • Participate in special projects and district initiatives as assigned.

  • Attend meetings or district activities as appropriate.

  • Work collaboratively with district staff and departments.

  • Maintain confidentiality of district, employee, and student information.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.

  • Interest in gaining professional experience within a public school district or administrative environment.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise appropriate discretion.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Basic computer and technology skills.
