Technical Solution Architect - Reinsurance

Our sister company Stellarmann is supporting a rapidly growing London Reinsurer and is seeking a highly technical Solution Architect to support a critical phase of its technology strategy and architecture evolution.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in defining the future technology landscape of a business that is investing heavily in technology and scaling rapidly within the Lloyd's market. The successful candidate will work closely with senior technology and business stakeholders to drive architecture discovery, vendor selection, and strategic technology decision-making.
The business is entering the next phase of its transformation journey and requires an experienced architect to accelerate architecture development and support key technology initiatives.

Current areas of focus include:

• Reviewing and enhancing existing architecture foundations.
• Evaluating the need for a Policy Administration System (PAS) and exploring alternative approaches.
• Assessing whether existing platforms can be extended to meet future business requirements.
• Identifying technology gaps and determining the most appropriate solutions.
• Supporting vendor evaluation and selection activities.

Essential Experience:

• Extensive experience as a Technical Solution Architect.
• Deep reinsurance expertise, with wider London Market experience also highly valued.
• Proven experience designing and delivering future-state architectures.
• Strong background in technology strategy, architecture governance, and architectural decision-making.
• Demonstrable vendor selection and technology evaluation experience.
• Experience across insurance platforms, including PAS, underwriting platforms, and post-bind architectures.
• Ability to engage and influence senior technology and business stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills with credibility at leadership level.

This is a contract role paying a competitive market day rate outside IR35 and requires 3 days a week in their London office.
