SAP Finance Consultant - Hybrid Working - Inside IR35

About the role

We are looking for an SAP Finance Consultant with experience across SAP FI/CO and some exposure to SAP S/4HANA. You will work closely with finance users and technical teams to support and improve SAP finance processes, contribute to system enhancements, and help deliver business change.

This role would suit someone with a grounding in SAP Finance who is keen to develop their FI/CO expertise and gain further experience with S/4HANA.

Key responsibilities

• Work with finance stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into SAP functional solutions.

• Support SAP FI/CO processes, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting and management accounting.

• Assist with system configuration, enhancements and issue resolution.

• Contribute to S/4HANA projects or ongoing improvements within an S/4HANA environment.

• Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams to deliver changes.

• Support testing activities, including test scripts, defect resolution and user acceptance testing.

• Produce clear documentation and provide guidance and training to end users.

• Help improve financial processes, reporting and month-end activities.

Skills and experience

• Previous experience in an SAP Finance consulting, functional support or similar role.

• Practical experience with SAP FI and some knowledge of SAP CO.

• Some hands-on exposure to SAP S/4HANA through implementation, migration, enhancement or support work.

• A good understanding of core finance and accounting processes.

• Experience gathering requirements, investigating issues and supporting system changes.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with finance and technical colleagues.

• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to develop your SAP knowledge.

Desirable experience

• Exposure to cost centre accounting, profit centre accounting or internal orders.

• Understanding of integration between SAP Finance and other modules, such as MM or SD.

• Experience supporting data migration, reconciliation or period-end close.

• An SAP certification or relevant finance qualification.

Working arrangement

You will attend the London office 2 days per week, with the remaining 3 days worked remotely.
