Job Title: Security Systems Maintenance Engineer
Location: Predominately Hertfordshire
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose:
We are looking for an Engineer responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of security systems including CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, fire alarms, intercoms, and related equipment. The role ensures all systems operate efficiently, meet compliance standards, and provide effective security for customers.

Key Responsibilities:
· Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM), fault diagnosis, and repairs of electronic security systems.
· Respond to reactive maintenance calls (Breakdowns)
· Maintain accurate service records, reports, and equipment documentation.
· Provide technical support and training to end-users when required.
· Participate in on-call standby rota.

Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
· Proven experience in maintenance of security systems (CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and fire alarms).
· Working knowledge of major system brands (e.g., Pyronix, Honeywell, Scantronic, Menvier, Texecom, Hikvision, Paxton, C-Tec, Advanced, Kentec).
· Good understanding of networking principles (IP addressing, PoE, switches, diagnostics).
· Full UK driving licence.
· Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.

Desirable:
· Relevant technical certifications (e.g., City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ in Electrical/Electronic Engineering).
· Manufacturer training certificates.
· Valid ECS or CSCS card.

Working Hours:
Typically, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (with availability for occasional out-of-hours or on-call support).
