Job Title: Security Systems Installation engineer Location: Predominately Hertfordshire Employment Type: Full-time Job Purpose: We are looking for an Engineer responsible for the installation of security systems including CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, fire alarms, intercoms, and related equipment. The role ensures all systems operate efficiently, meet compliance standards, and provide effective security for customers. Key Responsibilities: · Perform installations of systems to a high standard. · Maintain accurate installation records, reports, and equipment documentation. · Provide technical support and training to end-users when required. · Participate in on-call standby rota. Qualifications and Experience: Essential: · Proven experience in installation of security systems (CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, fire alarms). · Working knowledge of major system brands (e.g., Pyronix, Honeywell, Texecom, Hikvision, Paxton, C-Tec, Advanced, Kentec). · Good understanding of networking principles (IP addressing, PoE, switches, diagnostics). · Full UK driving license. · Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills. Desirable: · Relevant technical certifications (e.g., City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ in Electrical/Electronic Engineering). · Manufacturer training certificates. · Valid ECS or CSCS card. Skills and Attributes: · Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship. · Strong communication and client relationship skills. · Ability to work independently and under pressure. · High standard of personal organization and time management. · Commitment to continuous professional development. Working Hours: Typically, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (with availability for occasional out-of-hours or on-call support).
