Job Description

Management Accounting - Financial Controllership


What can you expect?

  • Statutory Accounting and Reporting: Reconcile GAAP Adjustments of individual entities by referring to bridge report.
  • Monthly secondary ledger maintenance for the entities assigned.
  • First level review of statutory accounts prepared by team & support timely submissions of statutory accounts.
  • Ensure workiva templates are rolled forward correctly and maintained upto date
  • Liaise and support audit binder compliance, supporting LEC to get the audits completed on time and with greatest quality.
  • Timely filing of regulatory returns
  • Review and maintenance of DPM.s (Process notes)
  • Tax: First level review of Tax provision GAAP and Country Statutory Reconcile Stat to Tax
  • First level reveiw of return to Provision and Tax Payments
  • Woking with team to Complete Transactional transfer pricing
  • First level review of VAT returns produced from Edge tool
  • Tax audits support & binder maintenance
  • Closing the Books: Help LEC in the monthly review of PL and BS schedules, IFRS 15 models such as CTF, PPO etc
  • First level review of Legal Entity Analytics and commentary for the variances
  • First level review of Quarterly one-source lodgements
  • Interacting with AO & other internal teams for smooth close
  • Stakeholder management - Constant engagement with LEC & the team on updating and montioring status of above activities
  • Collaborate with Accounting operations and other internal functional teams for accurate & timely financial reporting as need be.
  • Actively participate in regular meetings on operational and tactical discussions as required
  • Ad hoc regulatory reporting, analytics and presentation preparation across all controller activities

We will count on you to:

  • Take end to end responsibility of delivery and review of the work done by Specialist / junior team members.
  • Take on additional activities within the existing bandwidth.


What you need to have:

  • Qualified CA or equivalent accounting degree with 6+ years of experience in statutory accounting, taxation
  • Strong Commerce graduate with 7+ years of accounting experience in statutory accounting, taxation, finalization of accounts and preparation of annual reports
  • Flexibility to work in shifts
  • Expertise in interpreting accounting principles GAAP, and practices
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders, global teams and cultures.
  • Proficient in data analysis, summarising and presenting themes and results in a meaningful format.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills, including the ability to coordinate, prioritize and manage multiple activities.
  • Have the flexibility required to work in a dynamic environment under stringent deadlines.


What makes you stand out?

  • Diploma in IFRS or US GAAP certification
  • System knowledge about Oracle, Essbase, Caseware & Workiva
  • Prior experience in a similar reporting profile will be an advantage
  • Excellent analytic skills, dash board preparation & review, expertise in MS Office and Power BI
