Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Functional Consultant – Commercial Lending to join a client-facing Professional Services team supporting strategic financial-services clients.
The ideal candidate will have strong functional experience with FIS Commercial Loan Servicing (formerly ACBS) or another commercial lending platform, along with expertise in commercial loan servicing, data migration, system integration, APIs, system conversions, testing, and client-facing implementation projects.
You will work closely with clients, business stakeholders, technical analysts, and developers to translate business requirements into effective functional solutions and support successful implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Work independently or as part of a consulting team on commercial lending and loan servicing technology projects.
• Gather, analyze, refine, and document business and technical requirements.
• Define product scope, objectives, functional requirements, specifications, and data models.
• Analyze client business processes and identify opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements.
• Create detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process flows, and procedural documentation.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional designs for development teams.
• Collaborate with developers and technical analysts to estimate development effort and deliver solutions.
• Support data migration, system integration, API execution, and system conversion initiatives.
• Analyze application and system interactions to support new implementations and enhancements.
• Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Perform and support System Testing, Integration Testing, Readiness Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Work closely with clients during testing, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and solution validation.
• Provide functional guidance to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support implementation activities from requirements gathering through deployment and post-production support.
• Manage multiple client priorities while maintaining project timelines and deliverables.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a client-facing environment.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working with financial institutions, commercial lending, or commercial loan servicing.
• Strong, hands-on functional experience with FIS Commercial Loan Servicing (ACBS) or another commercial lending/loan servicing solution.
• Strong understanding of commercial lending and loan servicing business processes.
• Hands-on experience with data migration, system integration, and API execution.
• Experience with system conversions and application integrations.
• Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
• Experience creating functional specifications, process flows, test plans, and test cases.
• Strong experience with UAT, integration testing, system testing, and production support.
• Experience working directly with clients and cross-functional technology teams.
• Demonstrated experience with end-to-end software implementation, preferably within a software vendor or Professional Services environment.
• Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
