Software QA / Test Engineer

Position Details

• Location: Lansing, MI
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid (On-site Wednesdays & Thursdays; candidates must reside in Michigan)
• Interview Process: Virtual (1 round with laptop, camera, and screen-sharing required)

Key Skills & Highlights

• Software Testing: 5+ years in test planning, test case design, execution, defect tracking, and quality analysis.
• Agile / Scrum: 5+ years managing test cases, acceptance criteria, user story validation, and sprint ceremonies.
• Stakeholder & Leadership Management: 2+ years working directly with senior management on quality strategies, risk assessments, and defect resolution.
• Public-Facing IT Solutions: 2+ years validating functionality, security, performance, and accessibility for public applications.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree.

• Accessibility: ADA / WCAG compliance testing.
• Security: Reviewing and triaging vulnerability scan results.
• Regulatory Compliance: Experience working with state/federal regulated systems.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, functional, regression, and user acceptance tests.
• Identify, document, and track software defects.
• Collaborate closely with project teams and stakeholders to guide quality standards.
