Cybersecurity Analyst, Mid-Level with Security Clearance

Job Description: Overview

We are seeking a Mid-Level Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, with experience in threat detection, incident response, and security operations. This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM tools
• Investigate security incidents and perform root cause analysis
• Implement and maintain security controls to protect organizational assets
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security best practices are followed
• Develop and update security policies and procedures
• Provide technical support during security emergencies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or related field
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
• Strong understanding of network security and encryption protocols
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or SANS
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001)

Duties:

• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans
• Respond to security alerts and incidents
• Create and maintain security documentation
• Train staff on security awareness and best practices

Work Environment:
This position requires on-site work at our facility in Annapolis Junction, MD. Occasional travel may be required.
