Job Description

SEN / SEND Tutor | Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom | Hybrid

We are seeking passionate tutors to support young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across Buckinghamshire. This role offers a chance to make a significant impact in a child-centred community, transforming the lives of vulnerable learners through flexible and trauma-informed educational support.

The Role

  • Provide in-person, remote, or hybrid tuition in Maths, English, or Science to young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
  • Support pupils from KS1 to KS5, delivering trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
  • Plan and report on lessons, providing regular feedback on student progress.
  • Work with local authorities and schools to meet the educational needs of disengaged and at-risk learners.
  • Contribute to raising the standard of education for young people with SEND and SEMH.

What You'll Need

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS).
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or PMLD.
  • Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and best practices for creating a safe learning environment.
  • Enhanced DBS check (assistance provided if needed).
  • UK work authorization.
