Job Description

Electrical Power Applications Engineer | Houston, TX | Hybrid

We are seeking a talented Electrical Power Applications Engineer to join a leading manufacturer with over 75 years of experience in engineering and fabricating high-quality products. This role is integral to our continued success, contributing to innovative solutions and maintaining our reputation for excellence.

The Role

  • Assess project specifications, drawings, and data sheets to determine manufacturing or supply feasibility.
  • Interpret electrical drawings including single-lines, three-lines, elevations, control schematics, and site plans.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate conceptual designs into accurate proposals.
  • Research market prices and obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Optimize proposed solutions for the benefit of both the company and the customer.
  • Interact with various company divisions to develop integrated solutions.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 0-2+ years of experience in electrical distribution equipment estimating or a similar field.
  • Familiarity with low & medium voltage distribution equipment and electrical theory.
  • Ability to interpret electrical specifications, drawings, and diagrams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Visio, AutoCAD, or Inventor experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and customer-oriented skills.
