Job Description

Our client is looking for a Field Service Technician for a 2-month contract in Indianapolis, IN 46260.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.

Contract Duration: 2 months
Required Skills & Experience
  • 0-2 years of field dispatch repair and hands-on hardware experience (printers, PCs, POS, etc.), break-fix, use of power tools (e.g., drills), and familiarity with the ticketing system.
  • Lexmark certifications and experience.
  • Experience with Lexmark printer break-fix and equipment installs, and HP, Dell, and Lenovo.
  • Previous Field Service and/or Desktop, POS, printer Break/Fix experience
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting and customer service skills
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record required (This is a driving position - reimbursed accordingly)
  • Active driver's license.
  • CompTIA A+
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and restaurant technology environments.
  • Ability to perform light physical/contractor tasks (drilling, mounting, etc.).
  • Willingness to work evenings and participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
  • Completion of account specific training and network cable termination training.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Provide exceptional customer service while supporting clients and their staff.
  • Install, maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair POS systems, hardware, peripherals, and related printer equipment.
  • Install, maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair various OEM vendor printers using both a warranty and non-warranty repair approach.
  • Resolve technical issues efficiently and clearly communicate solutions to customers.
  • Document work performed, maintain system configurations, and execute hardware/software upgrades or replacements.
  • Perform light contractor work such as drilling, mounting hardware, and running cabling as needed to complete installations or repairs.
  • Train employees for proper use of supported systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair product failures; order and replace parts as needed.
  • Recommend appropriate products, services, or solutions based on customer needs.
  • Apply working knowledge of operations and backend workflows to ensure seamless technology integration with the client.
  • Follow established procedures and guidelines while working with minimal to no supervision.
  • Report to a Team Lead and/or Field Services Manager.
