Project Manager – Tax & Revenue

Job Summary

Tax & Revenue is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support two certified technology initiatives: GenKFI Replacement and AAMVA Service Cutover. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating project activities, managing stakeholders, tracking timelines and deliverables, identifying risks and dependencies, and supporting successful system implementation and cutover.

Key Projects

1. GenKFI Replacement

  • Support the replacement/modernization of the GenKFI financial system.
  • Coordinate activities related to financial, accounting, tax revenue, general ledger, and reporting functions.
  • Work with technical and business teams to support system integration, testing, data migration, and implementation.
  • Help ensure project deliverables meet business, technical, and compliance requirements.

2. AAMVA Service Cutover

  • Manage project activities associated with the Motor Vehicle Division''s AAMVA service transition.
  • Coordinate migration and cutover activities from legacy services to modernized AAMVA services.
  • Support testing, deployment, production readiness, and go-live activities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and project stakeholders.
  • Track project scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and action items.
  • Facilitate project meetings and provide status reports to leadership.
  • Coordinate system testing, data migration, implementation, and cutover activities.
  • Support change management and business readiness activities.
  • Ensure projects remain aligned with organizational, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage communication between business, technical, vendor, and leadership teams.
  • Assist with resolving project issues and escalating critical risks when necessary.

  • Experience with government technology projects.
  • Familiarity with AAMVA, Motor Vehicle Division (MVD), DMV systems, or related services.
  • Experience coordinating complex production cutovers and go-live events.
