Senior AI Governance SME

Location: Arlington, Virginia (Onsite)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Artificial Intelligence (AI) Governance Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the development and implementation of AI policy, doctrine, and regulations. This role involves shaping the governance of AI within a large enterprise, working alongside AI experts, architects, and data scientists to drive transformative implementations. The position requires a technically proficient individual with a self-starting work ethic and the ability to manage multiple high-priority requirements. Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft and execute an innovative AI strategy to guide technology solutions and set standards for excellence.
• Lead high-impact AI projects from conception to completion, ensuring seamless project planning and successful execution.
• Spearhead research initiatives and explore advanced AI projects, integrating emerging innovations to enhance capabilities.
• Define and evaluate AI and data system requirements for technical feasibility, functional adequacy, and alignment with organizational needs.
• Collaborate with data teams to establish, enforce, and maintain data and AI standards across the enterprise.
• Create comprehensive AI documentation that meets government review and approval standards.

Required Qualifications

Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Education: A Master's degree (MA/MS) is required.

Experience: 10+ years of experience in software development (analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance) combined with a bachelor's degree.

Technical Skills:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
• In-depth understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (including front and back end).
• Experience with AWS.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and backend development languages such as Python, Java, or Node.JS.
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and NoSQL databases.
• Demonstrated experience designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging software.
• Strong knowledge of AI, including feasibility analysis and performance requirements.
