Netzschutztechniker / Inbetriebnahmetechniker Umspannwerke m/w/d | Weeze, Germany | Hybrid This employer is a significant player in the European energy infrastructure sector, contributing directly to the success of the energy transition. They are looking for a skilled technician to join their team, focusing on substation projects that are crucial for modernizing and expanding the energy grid. This is an opportunity to work on impactful projects with a company dedicated to sustainability and innovation. The Role • Realize new construction and modernization projects for medium, high, and extra-high voltage substations up to 380kV in Western Germany. • Commission electrical installations, including substations and special feed-in systems for renewable energies. • Analyze and resolve faults in protection and control technology, collaborating with internal expert teams. • Control the programming and parameterization of high-tech protection and field control devices from leading manufacturers. • Utilize modern testing equipment to commission digital protection and control technology. • Contribute to projects in energy transmission and distribution, including grid connection for industrial, wind, and solar parks. What You'll Need • Completed training in electrical engineering. • Expertise and know-how in protection/control technology, ideally with independent commissioning experience of switchgear according to standard communication norms (IEC 60870-5-101/103/104). • Familiarity with parameterization software like Siemens DIGSI 4/5, Schneider MICOM S1, and testing software like OMICROM TestUniverse. • Strong team player with decisiveness, communication skills (fluent German), and a professional demeanor. • Valid driver's license Class B and willingness to travel (typically Monday-Thursday) within Western Germany.
