Process Design Engineer

We&&'re looking for a Process Design Engineer to join our Design Team and play a key role in shaping the treatment solutions that support vital water and wastewater infrastructure.

In this role, you&&'ll contribute to the planning, development, and delivery of process designs across a variety of technical projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs are effective, efficient, and compliant with regulatory and industry standards.

You&&'ll support the creation of key process documentation—such as flow diagrams, mass balances, P&&&IDs, and process contr ol philosophies—while helping to drive innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence.

From design optimisation to participation in HAZOP studies and project reviews, you&&'ll be central to delivering treatment solutions that perform reliably and sustainably for our clients. We&&'re looking forward to expanding our team to Glasgow.

Please note that the role requires you to be in the office or on site at least 3 times a week. What We&&'re Looking For We&&'re seeking a practical, detail-focused engineer with strong analytical skills and a passion for delivering effective treatment processes.

You&&'ll thrive in a collaborative team environment, be confident contributing to technical discussions, and bring both curiosity and a proactive mindset to every challenge. Experience 3–5 years of experience in process engineering, ideally within the water or wastewater sector.

Experience working on treatment plants or similar process-driven infrastructure. Understanding of water quality standards and environmental regulations. Knowledge &&& Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical, solution-driven approach. Effective communicator able to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Well-organised and detail-oriented, capable of managing tasks independently. Proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable working in both technical and project-focused environments. Good understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes and technologies. Familiarity with relevant regulatory and industry standards.
