We're seeking a Senior GitOps Platform Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of a modern GitOps capability within a large-scale enterprise environment.

This role is suited to a hands-on engineer who can own GitOps end-to-end, partnering with engineering teams, architects, security stakeholders, and programme leadership to drive automation, governance, and platform best practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Improve developer experience through automation, reusable patterns, and engineering best practices.
  • Contribute to platform standards, governance, and engineering roadmaps.
  • Support existing codebases whilst delivering new platform capabilities.

Required Experience
  • Strong GitOps and CI/CD engineering experience.
  • Deep understanding of GitHub Actions and modern software delivery practices.
  • Strong Scripting and automation skills using Python, TypeScript and/or Terraform.
  • Experience working with infrastructure as code and cloud-native platforms.
  • Ability to communicate technical designs and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working across engineering, security, architecture, and delivery teams.

Desirable
  • Experience within large enterprise or regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of IAM, identity, authentication, and access management concepts.
  • Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms and Kubernetes-based environments.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a critical GitOps capability and help shape engineering standards across a complex enterprise technology landscape.
