The role requires a compassionate, flexible and relationship-based approach, recognising the individual experiences, strengths and aspirations of care-experienced young people.

  • Must be able to see beyond presenting behaviours and to display empathy, compassion and hope for young people

  • Needs to understand that this is a demanding and, at times, very tough job. A high level of composure and resilience is required·

  • Must have an HNC in Social Care and SVQ 3 or be willing to work toward these qualifications within a set time frame.
