Business Analyst (LIMS Specialist)

Key Skills & Requirements

Must-Haves

• Business Analysis: Requirements gathering, writing user stories, workflow mapping, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Database & SQL: Solid experience querying relational databases with SQL.
• Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex lab concepts into technical requirements for non-technical teams.

High-Value Skills (Strongly Preferred)

• LIMS Experience: Hands-on experience with LabWare LIMS (v8 preferred) or similar laboratory systems.
• Health Data Standards: Knowledge of HL7, LOINC, SNOMED CT, XML, CCDA, or ICD-10.
• Lab Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with Environmental Chemistry, Infectious Diseases, Toxicology, or Public Health lab processes (TNI/EPA/CLIA/CDC compliance).
• Reporting & Tools: Experience with Crystal Reports and process mapping tools like Lucidchart/Visio.
• Education: Background in Laboratory Science, Informatics, Computer Science, or Epidemiology.

Key Responsibilities

• Support LIMS system setup, API integrations, and HL7 data exchange.
• Collaborate directly with laboratory scientists to define system requirements and workflow improvements.
• Troubleshoot system performance, adjust test logic, and build customized reports.
• Document system requirements and train end-users across lab departments.
