Maintenance Associate

Sierra, a division of XYZ Tech Inc. in Chicago, IL, seeks a Maintenance Associate to support IT facilities and hardware for cutting-edge software operations. You'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair workstations, servers, and peripherals, and ensure minimal downtime for internal teams. Partner closely with engineers to support deployments, maintain inventory, and follow safety and compliance standards. Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on workstations, servers, and peripherals to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, basic network, and connectivity issues in a timely manner.
• Support IT facilities operations, including racks, cabling, and environmental checks.
• Track and manage IT assets, spare parts, and inventory, ensuring accurate records.
• Log and manage work through ticketing tools, documenting issues, resolutions, and follow-ups.
• Coordinate with engineers and vendors for escalated repairs, installations, and upgrades.
• Follow safety, security, and compliance procedures within the data and equipment environment.
• Assist with deployments, moves, and equipment setups for new and existing employees.
