TIBCO Administrator
Location: Plano, Texas
Hybrid Schedule (3 days onsite/2 days remote)
12 mo. Contract
Pay Rate: $70-73/hr.
Role Overview
The Messaging Administrator provides operational, technical, and platform support for enterprise messaging technologies across IBM MQ, Confluent Kafka, IBM Integration Bus (IIB), and TIBCO. This role is part of the Messaging Production Support Team and is primarily focused on IBM MQ administration, while also contributing to support for Kafka and TIBCO platforms as needed. The administrator will ensure stability, reliability, and high performance of messaging environments running across Linux and Windows.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide operational and technical support for enterprise messaging technologies.
• Administer IBM MQ environments, ensuring stability and performance.
• Contribute to the support of Confluent Kafka and TIBCO platforms.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues across distributed systems.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to support production environments.
• Utilize scripting languages such as Python or shell scripting for automation tasks.
• Maintain and improve monitoring strategies, operational metrics, and performance tuning.

Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
Technical Skills:

• Hands-on experience designing, building, and administering IBM MQ (primary skill).
• Proficiency with Linux and Windows operating systems in enterprise settings.
• Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python or shell scripting for automation.
• Experience with IBM Integration Bus (IIB), Confluent Kafka, TIBCO Rendezvous (RV), and TIBCO EMS.
• Familiarity with middleware tools and supporting technologies, including meshIQ Navigator, Atrium Orchestrator, Dynatrace, Splunk, and JIRA.
