URGENT HIRE!

 

AWS / MDM Developer (Senior AWS Data Engineer)

100% Remote (Must reside in lower 48)

Contract (through end of year) with potential conversion

 

Overview

We’re seeking a Senior AWS Data Engineer to help build and support enterprise, cloud-native data solutions in a large Financial Services environment. This role is primarily focused on AWS engineering, cloud data integration, ETL development, and enterprise data platforms.

Experience with Markit EDM (Cadis) and/or Master Data Management (MDM) is a strong plus, but this is not a traditional “Markit EDM Developer” role. Strong AWS-focused data engineers with enterprise integration experience are encouraged to apply.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, and support enterprise AWS data solutions
  • Build scalable ETL pipelines and cloud-native integrations
  • Develop and support REST APIs for enterprise data platforms
  • Create and maintain cloud-based data ingestion and transformation workflows
  • Partner with Architecture, Data Engineering, and Business teams to deliver scalable solutions
  • Troubleshoot production issues and optimize cloud performance
  • Support initiatives tied to data quality, governance, and enterprise integration
  • Deliver reusable, maintainable solutions using AWS best practices

 

Required Qualifications (Must Have)

  • Strong hands-on AWS engineering experience
  • Python
  • SQL
  • ETL development and data integration experience in enterprise environments
  • REST API development/integration experience
  • AWS services such as:
  • AWS Lambda
  • AWS Glue
  • EventBridge
  • Experience building cloud-native applications and supporting production systems

 

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Markit EDM (Cadis) exposure
  • Master Data Management (MDM)
  • Security Master / Reference Data platforms or concepts
  • Snowflake
  • Kafka
  • C# / .NET
  • Financial Services background
  • Data governance / enterprise data management concept
