Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst

Description

We are looking for a Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to provide hands-on technical assistance for end users in Santa Monica, California. This Contract position focuses on resolving desktop and system issues, supporting Microsoft Windows environments, and ensuring timely responses to service requests. The ideal candidate brings strong troubleshooting ability, a customer-focused mindset, and practical experience supporting user accounts and workstation performance.

Responsibilities

Provide front-line technical support for hardware, software, and desktop-related issues affecting end users.
Investigate and resolve service desk requests efficiently while keeping users informed on progress and next steps.
Support Microsoft Windows 10 environments, including workstation setup, configuration, and issue resolution.
Manage user account access and directory-related tasks within Active Directory.
Diagnose common system and application problems and apply effective solutions to minimize downtime.
Document incidents, resolutions, and recurring issues to support service continuity and knowledge sharing.
Escalate more complex technical problems when needed and coordinate with other support teams for resolution.

Requirements

Experience providing help desk or desktop support in a detail-oriented IT environment.
Working knowledge of Active Directory for account administration and access support.
Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10 and broader Microsoft Windows platforms.
Ability to perform basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, and user access issues.
Familiarity with managing and updating service desk tickets in an organized manner.
Strong communication skills with the ability to assist users clearly and effectively.
