The Role<br />- Delivering planned preventive maintenance schedules and providing rapid response to electro-mechanical breakdowns<br />- Troubleshooting electrical faults, variable speed drives (VSDs), AC/DC motors, sensors, and PLC-controlled systems<br />- Carrying out mechanical fault diagnosis and repairs on continuous handling systems, including pumps, drives, and conveyors<br />- Acting as the lead technical point of contact during shift operations to ensure uninterrupted production output<br />- Performing root cause analysis on repeat issues to enhance overall machine efficiency and reliability<br />- Logging all breakdown data, statutory maintenance, and spare parts usage accurately<br />- Working alongside production teams to uphold health, safety, and operational standards<br />- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and equipment modifications across the plant The Candidate<br />- Electrically biased engineer with relevant technical qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City &amp; Guilds, or equivalent)<br />- Practical cross-skilled mechanical capability (pumps, mechanical transmissions, pneumatics)<br />- Proven track record in continuous manufacturing, FMCG, food production, or packaging sectors<br />- Strong diagnostic capability across electrical schematics, motor controls, VSDs, and PLC inputs/outputs<br />- Self-motivated and confident working independently during shift cover<br />- Proactive approach to workplace health, safety, and environmental standards What's on offer?<br />- Generous leave package (33 days annual leave)<br />- Comprehensive sick pay cover We are an equal opportunity recruitment partner.
