Job Description

As a Network Install Technician for DCC Communities at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will install, configure, and test network infrastructure that powers AWS-connected communities. You'll deploy cabling, switches, routers, and related hardware, validate performance, and quickly resolve issues to ensure secure, reliable connectivity for customers. Partnering with engineers and operations teams, you'll follow detailed network designs, document changes, and uphold AWS's high standards for quality, safety, and customer obsession in a fast-paced, field-based role.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure switches, routers, and related network hardware for DCC communities
  • Perform structured cabling, terminations, and labeling for fiber and copper
  • Test, certify, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity to meet performance standards
  • Interpret network designs and diagrams to execute installations accurately
  • Document network changes, asset details, and test results in AWS systems
  • Collaborate with network engineers and operations teams to resolve complex issues
  • Follow AWS safety, security, and quality standards during all field work
  • Provide on-site support during turn-ups, migrations, and incident response
