Job Description

As a Facility Maintenance Technician, supporting our Technician Manufacturing Team, you will be trusted to maintain the facility infrastructure and critical systems to support our production environments at Houston, Texas US.

 

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Perform routine inspections and basic preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment, including air handling units (AHUs), filters, belts, motors, and exhaust systems, following established procedures and schedules.
  • Assist in monitoring HVAC system performance through the Building Automation System (BAS), identifying alarms or abnormal operating conditions and escalating issues to senior technicians or supervisors as required.
  • Support troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance activities on HVAC equipment, including chillers, pumps, VAV boxes, and environmental control systems, while gaining technical knowledge and hands-on experience under the guidance of senior technicians.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment, machinery, and utility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities, including evaluating, modifying, and developing maintenance procedures to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Support Facilities Group activities, including planned shutdowns, capital projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and use of our Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs) and team collaborations.
  • Accurately document maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair activities in Maximo and other required systems in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with team members, production personnel, contractors, and suppliers to coordinate work activities and ensure operational success.
  • Comply with all safety, environmental, quality, and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements.
  • Support the reliable and environmentally compliant operation of critical plant utility systems, including DI/Purified Water Systems, Clean Compressed Air Systems, Boilers, Chillers, HVAC Systems, and associated equipment.
