Group HR Advisor (6 months Fixed Term Contract)

Group HR Advisor (6-Month FTC) Glasgow

We are seeking an experienced Group HR Advisor to provide operational HR support across the full employee lifecycle. Working closely with managers and employees, you will deliver first-line HR advice, support recruitment activities, manage HR administration, and ensure compliance with policies and employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support recruitment activities including advertising, screening, interview coordination, agency liaison, and onboarding.
• Provide HR guidance on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance management processes.
• Manage employee lifecycle administration, including starters, leavers, contractual changes, and HR system updates.
• Maintain HR records and produce reports on key metrics such as absence and turnover.
• Support employee engagement initiatives and help promote a positive workplace culture.
• Assist with HR projects, policy updates, audits, and continuous improvement activities.
• Build effective relationships with managers, employees, and union representatives across the business.

About You

• Previous experience in an HR Advisor, HR Coordinator, or HR Generalist role.
• CIPD qualified, studying towards CIPD Level 5, or equivalent HR experience.
• Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.
• Organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Fluent English required; Polish language skills would be advantageous.

Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 40 hours per week
• Day shift (8.5 hours Monday-Thursday, 6 hours Friday)

Salary up to 42,000
