Job Description

We are looking for Live-In Care Assistants availability in the community of Folkestone and Hythe, Kent.

Working for Home Instead we hope will give you a tremendous sense of pride and work fulfilment as you are able to impact the lives of vulnerable people in our communities.

Working in our care team is more than just a job, we are one family and we support each other. We pull together to help each other in helping others and we are all working towards one goal-to help people live their best life, no mater their age, ability, health or state of mind. Everyone of our clients is special, and deserves the best care within their own home.

Do you have the skills to be an amazing Care Assistant?.

Each day will be different, and you’ll need to think on your feet—whether it’s helping a client with mobility, assisting them with daily routines like bathing and dressing, or simply sitting down to enjoy a cup of tea together.

You will need a listening ear, ready to hear incredible life stories, and sometimes, offering a simple chat to brighten our clients’ day. And providing an extra pair of eyes when needed, to keep track of medication, or helping a client find their glasses.

You don’t need to be a Michelin star chef, but if you can make a cup of tea and help prepare a light meal, you’re just who we need. You might also be called upon to help with light housekeeping or organising their home so that it’s safe and comfortable.

As one of our Care Assistants/Support Workers you will directly benefit from:

  • From £135 per day (10 x hours per day)
  • Career development opportunities
  • Fully Paid training programme
  • Care Certificate Qualification
  • Pension
  • Birthday Gift
  • Annual Appraisal Gift
  • Annual Company Party
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme
  • Discounts on high street brands through our benefit programme
  • Career development with opportunities to progress further
  • Daily/Weekly support

Previous experience of working in Care is essential for this role. You will also need to be caring, compassionate and a good listener.
