On-site OCI Cloud Security Consultant

OCI Cloud Security Consultant 12-Month Contract
Location: New York, NY
Work Setup: On-site
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week

The OCI Cloud Security Consultant will provide hands-on security design, engineering, and oversight for a PeopleSoft deployment within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role will help ensure the cloud environment is hardened, compliant, monitored, and aligned with MTA cybersecurity standards while partnering across security and engineering teams.

OCI Cloud Security Consultant Responsibilities

• Design and implement a secure OCI landing zone and PeopleSoft cloud architecture.
• Engineer OCI security controls, including Policies, Compartments, Security Zones, WAF, Load Balancing, Vault, and Key Management.
• Implement network security controls covering subnet design, firewalls, NAT, and private endpoints.
• Ensure the OCI environment meets enterprise cybersecurity, compliance, hardening, and monitoring requirements.
• Partner with Application Security, IAM, Network, Data Security, DBA, Architecture, and Cloud Engineering teams.
• Support cloud security monitoring using CSPM, SIEM, cloud audit logs, event metrics, and related technologies.
• Apply Application Security, DevSecOps, and API security practices to the PeopleSoft environment.

OCI Cloud Security Consultant Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) security experience.
• Proven Cloud Security engineering background and experience securing enterprise cloud applications.
• Strong knowledge of OCI networking, identity/security policies, encryption, key management, and cloud security architecture.
• Experience with CSPM platforms such as Oracle Cloud Guard, Prisma Cloud, Wiz, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of Application Security, DevSecOps, API security, logging, and monitoring.
• Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

OCI Cloud Security Consultant Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with PeopleSoft architecture.
• Cloud Security experience with Azure and/or AWS in addition to OCI.
