Pay Range: $45.00hr - $50.00hr

Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a developer with extensive experience in Universe Basic and Multi-Value databases to support the organization s systems. The candidate will focus on adding new features and capabilities within a formal SDLC environment, including working with integrations and custom code bases.

Requirements:

• The candidate must have 10+ years of recent development experience specifically with the Universe Basic language and Universe Multi-Value database.
• The candidate should be actively developing in Universe Basic and have been for 10+ years.
• Development experience must include spending 80% of time actively adding new features and capabilities versus break-fix or small enhancements from production support issues.
• Experience with integrations in and out of a Universe system (e.g., HTTP, XML, RPC) is required.
• Demonstrated experience with learning a custom code base not developed by the candidate.
• Experience developing based on specifications developed by others and working in a formal SDLC environment.

Optional/Plus:

• Experience in the Hospitality or Vacation Ownership industry is a plus.
• RocketSoftware MultiValue Integration Server (MVIS) experience is a plus. MVIS will be used for enabling REST APIs from existing Universe Basic programs and data.
• Experience with other PICK Basic variants such as UniData, Pick D3, Reality, or OpenQM is optional.
• Experience using external logging platforms for troubleshooting, such as Splunk or Dynatrace, is optional.
