Job Description

Position: Frontend & Mobile Software Developer (W2 role)
Location: Remote / Deerfield, IL
Duration: Fulltime / Long Term Contract With potential extension.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Frontend & Mobile Software Developer with hands-on experience building mobile applications using Flutter. The ideal candidate will also have experience with React for web development.
The developer will be responsible for creating responsive, intuitive, and high-quality user experiences across mobile and web platforms, while collaborating closely with backend developers and other stakeholders to deliver integrated software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the planning, design, development, testing, and deployment of mobile and web application features.
  • Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter and Dart.
  • Build and enhance web application interfaces using React, where applicable.
  • Develop reusable, maintainable, and efficient UI components.
  • Translate business and design requirements into functional, user-friendly application experiences.
  • Integrate frontend and mobile applications with backend services through RESTful APIs.
  • Collaborate with backend developers to support seamless integration between frontend, mobile, and server-side components.
  • Contribute to the development of API-driven applications and, where applicable, microservices-based solutions.
  • Support the integration of AI-enabled and data-driven features into applications.
  • Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and scalability across supported devices and platforms.
  • Follow established coding standards, secure development practices, and software engineering best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, design sessions, testing, and technical walkthroughs.
  • Assist with application deployments and basic CI/CD pipeline activities.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects and production issues.
  • Support existing applications through maintenance, enhancements, and timely issue resolution.
  • Prepare technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Work with technical leads and cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Required Qualifications
  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 2 4 years of professional software development experience.
  • Hands-on experience developing mobile applications using Flutter and Dart.
  • Experience with frontend development and modern UI frameworks.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs, API integration, and client-server architecture.
  • Knowledge of application testing, debugging, version control, and code quality practices.
  • Understanding of secure software development principles.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure or other cloud-native services.
  • Basic familiarity with Docker or other containerization technologies.
  • Foundational understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience working in or exposure to Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing web applications using React.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience integrating mobile and web applications with backend APIs.
  • Exposure to AI/ML integration or the use of AI services and APIs.
  • Familiarity with messaging systems and event-driven architecture, such as Kafka or Azure Service Bus.
  • Exposure to data platforms and integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with UML, technical diagrams, and documentation practices.
  • Willingness to learn legacy technologies used by KORE, such as Smalltalk.
