Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist with a strong background in Data Engineering and hands-on experience with the Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have expertise in building scalable data pipelines, processing large datasets, developing analytical models, and leveraging Google Cloud technologies to deliver data-driven insights and business solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data processing workflows.
• Leverage Google Cloud technologies such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, and Vertex AI.
• Perform data exploration, cleansing, transformation, and feature engineering for advanced analytics and machine learning.
• Develop and optimize data models, analytical solutions, and machine learning workflows.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure data quality, pipeline performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Implement best practices for data governance, security, and cloud-based data architecture.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in Data Science with a solid foundation in Data Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and its data services.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data processing frameworks.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and working with large-scale datasets.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling.
• Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and cloud-based analytics solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Vertex AI, and Cloud Composer.
• Familiarity with Apache Spark, PySpark, and Apache Airflow.
• Experience deploying machine learning models and integrating them into data pipelines.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and cloud-based development best practices.

Important: This is a fully onsite contract position in San Ramon, CA. Candidates must be comfortable working onsite five days a week.
