Casual Opportunities The Role

We're seeking experienced and passionate Audio Technicians to join our Crown Live Theatre team on a casual basis. Reporting to the Production & Technical Manager, you'll support theatre productions, rehearsals, performances and live events while delivering exceptional audio experiences across Crown Melbourne's entertainment venues.

In this role, you will:

• Support audio operations across theatre productions, rehearsals, performances and live events.
• Deliver technical show functions including FOH mixing, monitor engineering, RF coordination and system operation.
• Assist with the setup, testing, maintenance and operation of professional audio systems.
• Work collaboratively with production teams, venue stakeholders and contractors.
• Ensure all activities are delivered safely, compliantly and to the highest technical standards.

You'll bring:

• Experience in live audio engineering within theatre, concerts, events or similar environments.
• Knowledge of digital audio consoles, RF systems, PA systems and audio signal flow.
• Proficiency in QLab 5 or similar show control and playback software.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
• The ability to interpret technical documentation and show specifications.
• Flexibility to work across performances, events and production schedules.
