Job Description

Are you a qualified accountant looking to deepen your expertise in technical accounting and statutory reporting while helping shape the future of renewable energy? This is an opportunity to apply your knowledge across a growing and diverse portfolio of renewable assets, supporting financial integrity and business growth.

At EDF power solutions, we’re delivering an Electric UK and Ireland.

As a Technical Accountant, you’ll play an important role in statutory financial reporting, audit delivery, technical accounting and governance. Your work will help ensure accurate financial information supports key business decisions as we continue to grow our renewable energy portfolio and contribute to a net zero future.

The Opportunity

You'll support the Senior Technical Accountant in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across a complex and evolving renewable energy business. From statutory reporting to technical accounting activities, your expertise will help ensure compliance, strengthen governance, and support sustainable growth.

This role is available on a 15-month fixed term contract or secondment opportunity. Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, you'll join a flexible hybrid team based across #Durham, #Edinburgh and #London. We work flexibly around business needs, with attendance at one of our offices typically expected around once per month to collaborate with colleagues.

You'll gain exposure to a broad range of technical accounting matters, working closely with audit, tax, treasury and wider finance teams. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and build your career within one of the UK's most diverse renewable energy businesses.

  • Knowledge of both UK Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), including experience preparing statutory accounts

  • Supporting tax reporting activities and liaising with external tax advisers
  • Collaborating with finance shared services and wider finance teams to maintain high-quality financial information
