Job Title: Senior QA Automation Engineer – Brokerage/Wealth Management (AWS, API Testing)

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong brokerage/wealth management domain expertise to support enterprise API and cloud-based testing initiatives for a leading financial services client. The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on automation programming skills with cloud-native testing experience across serverless and event-driven architectures.

Must-Have Requirements:

• Strong brokerage domain knowledge
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on QA experience in a brokerage environment
• AWS certification and hands-on cloud experience
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, S3, and EventBridge
• 3+ years of Python/Java automation programming experience
• Hands-on API automation testing experience for REST/SOAP using REST Assured, Postman, or Karate
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks using Selenium/Playwright with Java and Python

Key Responsibilities & Experience:

• Validate serverless workflows and event-driven architectures
• Troubleshoot distributed applications using CloudWatch logs and monitoring tools
• Work with OpenAPI/Swagger specifications and contract-first API development
• Strong understanding of HTTP methods, REST principles, headers, cookies, rate limiting, and response codes
• Test distributed microservices and complex system integrations
• Test asynchronous messaging using Kafka or similar event-driven platforms
• Validate end-to-end data flow across multiple services, queues, and downstream systems
• Test API gateway solutions such as Kong or AWS API Gateway
• Validate authentication/authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, API Keys)
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Test enterprise integrations involving multiple upstream/downstream applications
• Validate integrations with third-party vendors and external consumers
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis across APIs, middleware, logs, and cloud services
• Analyze application logs and trace requests across multiple services
