Job Description

Location Details: USA Remote

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This position may be a hybrid or fully remote position, as decided by your manager. If designated as hybrid, you’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office location, so you should live within commuting distance. If designated as remote, you’ll be working remotely from your home and may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings. Your hiring manager can share more about this role’s hybrid or remote designation.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

GoDaddy is not currently considering candidates for this role in California, Seattle, or NYC.

GoDaddy Commerce helps entrepreneurs sell online, in person, and across the workflows that run their businesses. We are looking for a Commerce Growth Director to accelerate adoption among higher-value brick-and-mortar businesses - including retailers, medical and professional offices, automotive businesses, and service providers operating at a power seller scale >$100K.

Owning end-to-end go-to-market strategy and measurable growth outcomes for this segment - from merchant insight and positioning to offers, enablement, experimentation, launches, and demand generation. Working cross functionally you will connect customer truth to commercial execution and the product roadmap.

This is a hands-on growth leadership role. You will interview our merchants, build the first narrative and proof point, train sellers, compose campaigns, inspect performance, and turn customer needs into product priorities.

What you'll get to do...

  • Understand and prioritize the merchant: Build the segment strategy. Define the most attractive use cases, verticals, jobs to be done, buying triggers, and barriers within the $100K-$1M, $1M+ segments. Turn merchant insight into action. Combine interviews, call listening, funnel analysis, competitive research, and win/loss learning into prioritized growth bets and roadmap input
  • Build and activate the go-to-market engine: Lead positioning and messaging. Develop benefit-led positioning and vertical stories beyond savings and free hardware, centered on simpler operations, growth, customer experience, flexibility, and confidence
  • Equip Sales to win by building narratives, qualification frameworks, objection handling, proof points, and seller-learning programs that improve acquisition, seller efficiency, product fit, and field confidence
  • Develop demand generation. Partner with Marketing to turn segment strategy into briefs, audiences, campaigns, content, and landing experiences; stay close enough to performance to refine them quickly
  • Build a disciplined experimentation roadmap. Develop learning agendas and tests across message, channel, offer, onboarding, and seller motion; detail what works and scale it fast
  • Evolve the commerce proposition: Accelerate SaaS growth. Develop the plan to materially increase SaaS adoption and attach, clarifying packaging, feature value, target personas, pitch, and the path to higher-margin recurring revenue
  • Improve pricing and offers. Shape and test pricing, transaction-fee structures, hardware purchase and rental models, credits, and other offers using customer response, conversion, retention, and unit economics
  • Create a connected commerce story. Connect in-person payments with e-commerce and omnichannel journeys and show how GoDaddy's AI-assisted and custom-build capabilities can create the workflows or vertical tools merchants need before integrating payments
  • Deliver end-to-end launches. Lead pricing, positioning, merchandising, purchase-path UX, seller readiness, customer guidance, and post-launch optimization for adjacent products and accessories
  • Operate the business: Own the growth scorecard. Define success measures across adoption, conversion, SaaS attach, product mix, retention, margin, and sales productivity; stay close to customer and seller calls to explain performance and drive rapid improvements
  • Strengthen planning and unit economics. Partner with Finance and Analytics on forecasts, sensitivity analyses, investment cases, and annual plans that connect near-term learning to the next phase of growth
  • Improve readiness and prioritization. Align Sales and self-serve journeys around a coherent offer set, make explicit tradeoffs, and protect capacity for the highest-yield initiatives

Your experience should include...

  • 10+ years in growth, go-to-market, product marketing, commercialization, or a closely related field. Track record of taking a segment or product from insight through measurable adoption in a global organization
  • Deep fluency in SMB Commerce, payments, POS, commerce SaaS, Merchant vertical software or adjacent merchant solutions. Able to translate customer realities into clear market opportunities
  • Strong commercial judgment across pricing and packaging, offer design, funnel metrics, experimentation, retention, margin, product mix, unit economics and growth tradeoffs
  • Customer-led product craft including significant research instincts sharp positioning, compelling proof points, useful seller tools, launch planning, and the ability to turn merchant language into action
  • Executive-level communication and cross-functional leadership, with the confidence to create transparency and momentum across Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Analytics while moving between strategy, analysis, writing, training, execution, and thoughtful use of AI

 You might also have...

  • Omnichannel payments product experience is strongly preferred

We encourage you to apply even if your experience or skillset doesn’t align perfectly with every requirement. We value a wide range of backgrounds and transferable skills, and we are excited to support learning and growth.
