Project Manager /Product Owner

We are seeking two Senior Project Managers for a hybrid assignment (4 days on-site- Austin candidates only) with our Austin, Texas client, serving as Product Owners, driving the delivery of technical initiatives from planning through execution. This role bridges business needs and technical delivery, requiring someone comfortable navigating both project management processes and technical conversations with development teams.

Key Responsibilities

•           Act as Product Owner for assigned product(s)/project(s), managing scope, priorities, and backlog

•           Lead cross-functional teams through the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to delivery

•           Translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria

•           Trace and interpret application logic and data flows to understand system behavior, troubleshoot issues, and communicate effectively with engineers (no coding required)

•           Manage timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication

•           Facilitate agile ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives) where applicable

•           Partner with development, QA, and business teams to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables

Requirements

•           Proven experience as a Project Manager, Product Owner, or similar role managing technical projects

•           Ability to read and trace through code/logic (Java, HTML) to understand

functionality — not required to write code

•           Familiarity with Oracle databases/environments sufficient to understand data structures and flows

•           Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills

•           Comfortable working directly with technical teams and translating between technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred

•           PMP (Project Management Professional) certification

•           Scrum certification (CSPO, CSM, PSM, or equivalent)

•           Application development background or hands-on experience in a software development environment

•           Experience with agile/scrum methodologies in a product ownership capacity
