HPE Nonstop Administrator

Object Technology Solutions, Inc (OTSI) has an immediate opening for HPE Nonstop Administrator

HPE Nonstop Administrator (onsite )

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES:

• Break / Fix requests: replacement of disk drives, memory, power supplies, i/o cards, and assist with troubleshooting issues, etc… 
  Hardware Health Checks 
  Network Install and Configuration 
  System hardware configuration changes 
  New System Installation: Physical racking and un-racking, power connections, disks, i/o, etc… 
  System backups 
  Provide weekly status reports 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Experience with installation and configuration of rack mounted computer hardware 
  Experience with basic networking hardware installation and configuration 
  Experience with OS software: Windows Server, Linux, and VMware a plus 
  Ability to climb ladders and pull/install cable 
  Desire to train and learn HPE NonStop System concepts and technologies 
  Demonstrated strong interpersonal and telephone skills 
  

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to work effectively with onsite U.S. and offshore personnel 
  Effective written and verbal communication skills 
  Ability to work in a high pressure environment 
  Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks with minimal direction 
  Demonstrated ability to adapt to a changing environment 
  Ability to define, implement, and monitor process changes 
  Problem-solving approach to resolve problems, improve processes, and increase productivity 
  Generation of status reports 
  Working with project schedules and timelines
