AI Architect - Hybrid onsite

Position: AI Architect
Location: Houston, TX (4 days hybrid onsite)
Long term contract
Responsibilities:

• Design and develop enterprise AI/ML architecture and solutions.
• Define AI strategy, architecture patterns, standards, and best practices.
• Design solutions using Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, and Machine Learning.
• Work with Azure AI, AWS AI, Google Cloud Platform AI, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or similar AI platforms.
• Design LLM applications, prompt engineering, vector databases, embeddings, and knowledge retrieval solutions.
• Develop scalable and secure AI architectures and integrate AI with existing enterprise applications.
• Work with Python, APIs, microservices, and cloud technologies.
• Establish AI security, governance, responsible AI, data privacy, and compliance practices.
• Evaluate AI models, frameworks, tools, and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with engineering, data, security, and business teams to deliver AI solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guide developers/engineers on AI implementation.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience as an AI Architect / Generative AI Architect / ML Architect.
• Strong knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, and Machine Learning.
• Experience with OpenAI/Azure OpenAI or other foundation models.
• Strong Python and API/microservices experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms – Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Vector DBs, embeddings, LangChain/LlamaIndex or similar frameworks.
• Knowledge of AI/ML architecture, MLOps, security, and governance.
• Strong enterprise architecture and solution-design experience.
