Custodian

Perform daily and periodic custodial and janitorial cleaning at Building 77 to the contract quality standards, in a secure, Restricted-Area Federal facility.

Essential duties

•  Daily cleaning (Monday to Friday): restroom cleaning and sanitation, trash and recycling removal, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and breakroom and kitchen cleaning (PWS 6.1).

•  Weekly, monthly, and semi-annual tasks: detail cleaning, high dusting above 7 feet, machine scrubbing, and floor strip, wax, and refinish (PWS 6.2 to 6.4).

•  Restock restroom consumables; police entrances, lobbies, and corridors.

•  Operate vacuums, floor machines, and extractors safely; use chemicals per label and safety data sheets.

•  Follow all conduct, safety, and security requirements; wear the company uniform and badge; do not touch or disturb Government materials.

Qualifications

•  with an active interim or final DoD Secret clearance (required).

•  At least 1 year of commercial or institutional custodial or janitorial experience preferred; will consider strong cleared candidates with less.

•  Able to follow cleaning schedules and quality standards; reliable and punctual.

•  Able to lift up to 40 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, and use cleaning equipment for a full shift.

•  Basic English communication for safety and instructions.
