Job Description

Title: Senior Business Analyst 3

Duration: 12 Months (3 Yrs Ext)

The primary work location(s) will be at 701 W. 51st Street, Austin, TX 78751. The working position is On Site. 

Level Description

8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Min 5 years of experience, served as a liaison between the Business community and Customer IT Teams (i.e., Architecture, Project Delivery, Application Sustain, etc.). Strong experience as a Data Analyst in analyzing raw data, and as a Business Analyst in requirements gathering, understanding technology, and any project management experience with PMP are a huge plus. 

Job Description

Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Experienced with business process reengineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems to make business more effective. Familiar with industry standard business process mapping, and reengineering. Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.

Roles and Responsibilities are Act as the critical bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams. Their core objective is to analyze current legacy system identify any inefficiencies, and translate business needs into actionable, technical solutions that improve and meets program goal. Work with the program to document the requirements that can be shared with the vendor once vendor is selected to provide the right solutions that will meet program needs.

• Meet with stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and surveys to discover business needs.

• Documenting specifications: Translate abstract ideas into structured Business Requirement Documents (BRD and Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs).

• Process Mapping: Create use cases to visually map current vs future state.

• Scope Management: Negotiate requirement trade-offs and manage expectations regarding project timelines and costs.

• Participate in testing phase: create test cases, and ensure the final product meets original requirement.

• Stakeholder communication: Serve as the central point of contact between users, technical teams and stakeholders.

 This role is needed till the end of the project to ensure the solution is implemented to the stakeholder''s satisfaction.
