Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager – Cloud Migration to lead complex enterprise cloud migration initiatives involving applications, data, and infrastructure. This role is responsible for developing migration plans, coordinating technical and business teams, managing project schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies, and orchestrating successful cutover and go-live activities. The ideal candidate combines strong project management expertise with practical knowledge of cloud platforms, migration strategies, infrastructure, security, and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and delivery of enterprise cloud migration projects involving applications, data, and infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain detailed migration plans covering scope, schedules, dependencies, resources, milestones, and rollback strategies.
• Manage day-to-day delivery of multiple cloud migration workstreams.
• Track project progress, milestones, dependencies, and resource allocation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and leadership.
• Coordinate activities across engineering, architecture, security, infrastructure, and business teams.
• Work with technical teams to align migration activities with target-state cloud architectures.
• Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
• Maintain project documentation, risk and issue registers, decision logs, and lessons-learned documentation.
• Coordinate project communications and provide clear, regular status reporting to stakeholders and leadership.
• Plan and orchestrate cloud migration cutovers and go-live activities, including readiness assessments, communications, and contingency planning.
• Monitor project budgets and resource requirements and support forecasting of cloud migration costs.
• Coordinate internal and external resources across multiple workstreams.
• Facilitate project meetings and ensure action items and decisions are documented and tracked.
• Support post-migration reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage multiple priorities and workstreams in a fast-paced, changing technical environment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years of project management experience, including at least 2 years supporting cloud or infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale enterprise IT projects involving multiple teams and cross-functional dependencies.
• Experience managing project plans, schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables through the full project lifecycle.
• Working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Understanding of cloud migration strategies, including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and re-architecting.
• Experience coordinating migrations across multiple cloud providers or hybrid-cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and/or Waterfall.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, or Microsoft Planner.
• Knowledge of networking, security, and data migration considerations within cloud environments.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously while maintaining project timelines and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or similar project management certification.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code technologies such as Terraform.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience coordinating complex multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud migrations.
• Experience managing cloud migration budgets and transition-related cloud spend.
• Experience with cutover planning, go-live coordination, and rollback strategies.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and enterprise technology environments.
• Experience working with engineering, security, architecture, and business teams.
• Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to rapidly changing technical requirements.
• Collaborative leadership style with the ability to build strong relationships across technical and business teams.

Work Environment
