If you thrive on building relationships, simplifying complex financial information, and delivering exceptional student service, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students’ lives while building your career in higher education.

This is a hybrid position requiring regular on-site attendance at our downtown Chicago campus. Candidates must be able to commute reliably and work on campus as scheduled.

What You’ll Do:

The Financial Aid Advisor serves as the primary resource for students as they navigate the financial aid process. From assisting with FAFSA applications to building financial estimates and payment plans, you’ll provide personalized advising to help students make informed decisions about their education. You will also ensure compliance with federal, state, and accrediting body regulations while working collaboratively with admissions and student services to create a seamless enrollment and financial aid experience.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Advise Students: Explain financial aid options, FAFSA requirements, grants, scholarships, and student loans.
  • Prepare Financial Estimates: Help students understand available funding, out-of-pocket costs, and payment plans.
  • Follow Through: Contact students regularly to collect documents, resolve outstanding requirements, and meet deadlines.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Review financial aid information and keep student files complete, organized, and confidential.
  • Support Compliance: Apply financial aid regulations and institutional policies in daily advising and documentation.
  • Coordinate Across Teams: Partner with admissions and student services to address student needs and support enrollment.
  • Support Campus Activities: Present financial aid information at orientations and participate in school events.

Why Join Us?

  • Meaningful Impact: Help students access the resources they need to begin and continue their education.
  • Professional Growth: Expand your expertise in financial aid and higher education.
  • Collaborative Team: Work with colleagues who value accuracy, accountability, and student success.
  • Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in financial aid or finance.
  • Skills & Attributes:
    • Strong problem-solving and active listening skills.
    • Exceptional organizational ability and attention to detail.
    • Comfortable working independently and in a team setting.
    • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    • Student-focused approach with a commitment to service excellence.

At ATS Institute of Technology, we value our people and their growth. We offer competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package that supports your professional and personal well-being.

The anticipated hourly pay range for this position is $23.00 – $28.00 per hour. Compensation is subject to change at the sole discretion of the institution, based on institutional needs.

Our benefits include:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Paid time off and paid holidays.
  • Tuition reimbursement and ongoing professional development.
  • 401(k) with employer match.
