SpaceX is looking for an experienced network engineer with expertise in networking technologies that support routing, switching, dynamic multicast, Wi-Fi, network access control, automation, etc. This position will be directly involved with supporting and expanding our campus and data center infrastructure as well as our expansive wireless network using reliable and redundant design standards.

SpaceX is looking for an experienced network engineer with expertise in networking technologies that support routing, switching, dynamic multicast, Wi-Fi, network access control, automation, etc. This position will be directly involved with supporting and expanding our campus and data center infrastructure as well as our expansive wireless network using reliable and redundant design standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of large-scale, complex wired and wireless networks.
- Configure, install, and support campus and data center networks.
- Troubleshoot wired/wireless networking-related issues.
- Support the deployment of network access control (NAC) using 802.1X.
- Develop and enforce network policies and standards.
- Plan and prepare project roadmaps.
- Develop network automation tools to support our enterprise network.
- Monitor network health using in-house and third-party tools.
- Create and maintain proper documentation of our networks.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other STEM discipline and 7+ years of professional network engineering experience; OR 10+ years of professional network engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Expert understanding of the OSI model and network standards.
- Cisco Catalyst, Juniper, and Arista data center-class switches.
- Cisco wireless LAN controllers or other wireless technologies.
- Network Access Control (NAC) using 802.1X.
- Wave Division Multiplexing and Fiber Optics.
- DNS, DHCP, SNMP, IP helpers, ARP, CDP, LLDP.
- BGP routing.
- Switch port security features.
- Network monitoring tools.
- Network documentation.
- Linux/Windows system administration.
- Experience with Python scripting.
- Industry-standard certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or JNCIE.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- This role requires you to be onsite. Hybrid or remote work will not be considered.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
